Before beginning pediatric speech therapy at Tiny Bees Therapy in Long Beach, CA, a comprehensive speech and language evaluation—including bilingual Spanish-English assessment when needed—is essential to understand your child’s unique communication strengths and challenges. This evaluation identifies specific areas of need, supports early intervention, and helps create meaningful, personalized goals. It also determines the recommended therapy frequency to develop a targeted plan that fosters real progress in your child’s communication skills.

Our comprehensive speech-language evaluation is designed to provide an accurate, individualized assessment of each client's communication strengths and areas of need. Conducted by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, this evaluation includes a thorough review of medical and developmental history, standardized and informal assessments, clinical observations, and a detailed written report with personalized recommendations.

Our $400 evaluation rate includes assessments for:

Speech and Language Evaluation – Receptive language, expressive language, pragmatic/social communication, and overall communication skills.

Early Intervention Evaluation – Comprehensive assessment for infants and toddlers to identify developmental communication delays and determine appropriate intervention services.

School-Based Evaluation – Evaluation to assess speech and language skills that may impact educational performance, including recommendations for school-based services when appropriate.

Articulation and Phonological Evaluation – Assessment of speech sound production and intelligibility for both English- and Spanish-speaking individuals using culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech-Language Evaluation – Comprehensive evaluations conducted in English, Spanish, or both languages to ensure accurate identification of communication disorders while distinguishing them from typical bilingual language development.
